Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Our PTO has become a central place for all of our parents to come and find out what is going on at Herbert Hoover Middle School. Currently our school has over 1,000 students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. PTO stands for Parent – Teacher - Organization and is made up of parents and teachers from the Herbert Hoover Middle School families.

The main goal of the PTO is to maintain cohesion within the many groups that are in place throughout the school and to raise funds for our sponsored events.

The PTO consists of many volunteer driven committees. These committees provide support and activities which make HHMS a more enriching place before moving to high school.

With the support of the HHMS Administration, we are able to have guest speakers who provide information from social programs to cyber bullying. We maintain an ongoing dialogue that focuses on the needs of our children.   Mr. McGrath frequently attends our meeting.  His presence ensures we are well informed of the happenings at HHMS.
