Dear Edison Township Public Schools Families,
Due to the utilization of three emergency closing days as a result of inclement weather, the district must adjust the school calendar to meet New Jersey’s 180 instructional day requirement.
As a result, two early dismissal days at the end of March will now serve as emergency closing make-up days, and the school year will be extended by one additional day.
The following schedule will apply:
• Monday, March 30: School will be in session with an Early Dismissal*
• Tuesday, March 31: School will be in session with an Early Dismissal*
• Thursday, June 18: School will be in session with an Early Dismissal**
*Emergency Closing Make-Up Days as indicated on the 2025–2026 district calendar.
**Pending Board of Education approval at the March 24, 2026, meeting.
Please note that high school graduation ceremonies will still be held on Wednesday, June 17, as previously scheduled. All students and staff are expected to report to school on Thursday, June 18, which will now serve as the final instructional day with an early dismissal.
