We will be hosting our Back To School Night at HHMS on Thursday, September 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. There are no appointments or sign/ups. Please be advised we are expecting extremely heavy traffic in the area, and parking will be limited. Parents are welcome to park in our lot and the surrounding streets (please do not block driveways).

SCHEDULE

6:00-6:30 - New Gym - Mr. McGrath will provide an overview of our school and the year ahead. Seating is limited. Returning 7th & 8th grade parents should consider skipping this portion, as it's very similar to previous years. 

6:30-8:00- Classroom visits (BRING YOUR CHILD’S SCHEDULE)

Period 1: 6:33-6:40 PM

Period 2: 6:43-6:50 PM

Period 3: 6:53-7:00 PM

Period 4/5 or 5/6:  7:03-7:10 PM

Period 5/6 or 7/8:  7:13-7:20 PM

Period 9: 7:23-7:30 PM

Period 10: 7:33-7:40 PM

Period 11: 7:43-7:50 PM

*If your child has a WIN period - Please visit the Cafeteria for a slideshow or the Book Fair in room 229.

WHAT TO EXPECT 

1. Due to space constraints, we ask that only one parent/guardian attend for each student.

2. Parents/Guardians will report to the New Gym for a brief introduction by Mr. McGrath. We will begin our program promptly at 6:00 p.m. We will have seating for 400 parents in the New Gym. Parents will be permitted to stand in the wings if the seats become full until we reach capacity. If you do not wish to attend the presentation, you can come to HHMS at 6:30 for the classroom visits only.

3. Parents/Guardians will leave the New Gym at 6:30 p.m. and follow the schedule above. During this time, teachers will provide an overview of the upcoming year in each class. 

*Please note: Teachers will not discuss individual students or their current grades and progress.
